Bathroom Tile Design

The bathroom tiles usually set the mood for everything else in the bathroom. The reason for this is that bathroom tiles are usually the first thing a person searches for when he/she is thinking of remodeling or designing their bathrooms. Bathroom tiles have many different designs. A person usually chooses the bathroom tile connected to the atmosphere or environment that he/she wants to recreate in their bathroom.

An important concept of bathroom tile design is that they can make or break the look of the bathroom. This means that choosing the wrong bathroom tile design may prove disastrous to the overall look that a person is trying to achieve.

One of the more important things to remember in bathroom tile design is that color plays a key role. The color of the bathroom tile usually determines the mood of the room. It is also used to create more space or have the illusion of having less space in a room. Pale and pastel colors give off a feeling of cheerfulness. Lighter colors give off a feeling of having a wider space if a person is trying to make a small bathroom look bigger than it really is.

The tiles that are used in the shower area don’t necessarily have to be different from the rest of the tiles in the room. If it’s a small bathroom, it is better to have the same tiles in the shower area as with the rest of the bathroom so as to make the shower area a part of the room. Having different tiles in the shower area give off a feeling of partitioning which would defeat the idea of making the room bigger.

With regards to the floor tiling and the wall tiling of the main area of the bathroom, a person can have the same design of tiles for the two areas. You may also have different designs for these two areas as well. If you’re living in place with a cold environment, it is interesting to have a bathroom floor with its tiles in a warm color. Bathroom tiles are available in both warm and soft colors.
